Humanitarian Response and Recovery Organization for Afghanistan (HRROA) is a women-led, non-profit
organization registered with the Ministry of Economy (Registration #5461) and an active member of
ACBAR (Registration #775). HRROA delivers educational services, technical and vocational training for
decent employment, humanitarian assistance, community development initiatives, agricultural
modernization programs, and recreational activities to individuals and communities in need.
HRROA was founded in 2022 in Kabul by a group of Afghan women and youth professionals committed
to playing a vital role in Afghanistan’s humanitarian and development landscape. The organization seeks to
contribute to peacebuilding efforts and support the creation of a society where people can live in harmony,
dignity, and mutual respect.
Education is central to HRROA mission. In a country that has endured decades of conflict, education remains a critical pathway to resilience and self-reliance. HRROA believes that access to quality education empowers individuals, transforms communities, and fosters long-term national development.
The organization also provides essential vocational, agricultural, and recreational training programs
designed to equip individuals with practical skills for personal and professional growth. These programs
help community members improve their livelihoods and actively participate in rebuilding their society.
Humanitarian relief is another core pillar of HRROA work. With the support of generous donors, HRROA assists vulnerable families with food, clean drinking water, healthcare support, and other life-saving services. HRROA teams possess deep understanding of the communities they serve, particularly those most affected by conflict and environmental crises. Through timely and targeted humanitarian interventions, HRROA continues to save lives and provide hope for families in distress.
HRROA remains committed to delivering inclusive educational, developmental, and recreational programs
that create positive, measurable change within communities. All services are provided without
discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, color, religion, or social status. The organization strives to strengthen resilience, foster community empowerment, and promote sustainable development across Afghanistan.
